The Lachmann-556 acts as a sort of hybrid between the M4 and the STB 556. It's similar to the M4, but offers a slightly longer, lower-back approach. Like the STB 556, this makes the Lachman-556 ideal for keeping long sight lines without going the whole hog, and converting your assault rifle for a semi-automatic rifle.
On the downside, it doesn't pack the same punch as the M4, nor does it achieve the same level of laser-like accuracy as the STB 556. That's a small downside for an otherwise great gun, but still enough to give it up. Kastov trades some of the stopping power of the Kastov-74U for less recoil and some much needed increased performance range.
However, it is in a slightly different location. It's an assault rifle that wants to be an SMG, but it's not an assault rifle that wants to be an SMG like the Kastov-74U. The TAQ-56 is a decent assault rifle that is unfortunately completely overshadowed by the M4. As such, the M4 is superior in almost every way. It's a shame, because the TAQ-56 is nice and controllable with good DPS and TTK stats. But it's hard to recommend the M4 when it's there.
