Of all the Beretta pistols that have crossed my path, from the Beretta 1934 to the latest Inox, this particular pistol is the most impressive and worth the price.

There is some controversy about the Beretta M9 slide cracking and breaking apart. Yes, that is true, but most people are not interested in hearing the facts. The fact is, these guns are fired with very hot ammo, and sooner or later any 9mm pistol will break. The ammunition used in these weapons were SMG rounds - they were much hotter than the +P rounds and could not handle the high pressure created by the early M9 handguns. It's not the Beretta's fault, the ammo is. However, to solve this problem, Beretta added a massive "button safety" to the pistol frame that prevents the slide from flying into the user's face if the slide breaks. Beretta continued to do so and still does.
